Beach and Refreshment
In addition to our beach with exclusive access for our guests, next to Potrero Grande is the Casale di Martignano restaurant www.casaledimartignano.it with cuisine based on organic farm products and a large beach with lawn equipped with sunbeds, skates and surveillance. There is a kiosk for all tastes that offers excellent aperitifs at sunset during the summer. The beach is open from June to September from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the entrance fee is about 7 euros per person; children under 6 are free. Weekly, monthly and seasonal packages are available. There is also a beach equipped for dogs. Bathing is not only allowed but a real experience for young and old, and canoes, pedal boats and shuttle bikes can be rented.
Culture
Near Lake Martignano enthusiasts of ancient Roman and Etruscan history will find archaeological sites of considerable importance, such as the villages of Sutri, Nepi, Campagnano and Calcata and the splendid Palazzo Farnese in Caprarola. There is no shortage of important Etruscan necropolis such as those of Cerveteri and Tarquinia, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and that of Viterbo.
An hour’s drive away is the Giardino dei Mostri in Bomarzo, while an hour and a half away is the unmissable Civita di Bagnoregio. The Faggeta Vetusta of Mount Cimino, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, completes the range of recommended excursions.
